AT&T Keeps Trying to Keep Subscribers with Upped Caps on DataPro Tethering

Listener Ken forwarded to me an email he received from the cellular industry's very own Death Star:

Subject: AT&T DataPro Tethering Plans Increasing From 2GB to 4GB

Dear AT&T Customer,

Great News!

Effective immediately, AT&T is increasing the amount of data included in all our DataPro Tethering plans from 2GB to 4GB. The monthly charge for these plans will not change but your employees will have twice as much included data for Internet browsing and Corporate and personal email.

All of your users currently on a 2GB Tethering plan will be automatically moved to a 4GB plan so there is no action required by you.

If you have any questions, contact your Service Manager or call 800-xxx-xxxx.

Thank you for choosing AT&T.

Please do not reply to this e-mail. If you have comments or questions, please contact AT&T Customer Service at the toll-free number on your bill.

Thanks (other) Ken for the tip!
