A long anticipated, epic series hits Apple TV+ in a couple of months. The Cupertino-streamer issued a press release Wednesday, announcing a premier date for “Pachinko.” Told in English, Japanese, and Korean, the release says:
…the story begins with a forbidden love and crescendos into a sweeping saga that journeys between Korea, Japan and America to tell an unforgettable story of war and peace, love and loss, triumph and reckoning.
We first heard about this series nearly three-years ago - before Apple even announced Apple TV+. Back then, a piece from MacRumors described the book on which the series is based, saying it covers “the lives of four generations of a poor Korean immigrant family as they migrate to and establish a life in Japan.”
Apple says the the first three episodes will debut globally on Friday 25 March. Those will be “followed by new weekly installments each Friday during its eight-episode season,” ending on 29 April.
